Use the tools lawfully
You may use the Website Downloader only on websites you own or have permission to copy. Do not use it to copy content you have no right to, to get around access controls, to overload a site, or to reach private networks or services. We block requests to private addresses and limit how often you can run it.
Your responsibility
Websites are protected by copyright and by their own terms. You are responsible for what you download and for how you use it. Confirming the ownership box before a download is a statement that you have the right to copy that site.
What we keep
The ZIP file is deleted from our server a short time after it is created (shown on the tool page). We do not keep copies of the sites you download. To limit abuse we keep a short-lived, anonymised count of requests per visitor.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, free of charge, with no promise that they will work for every site or be available at all times. We may limit or stop access to prevent abuse.
Report a problem
If you own a site and want us to stop it being downloaded, or you see misuse of the tool, contact the site owner through the details on this website. Our crawler identifies itself as CodeAceBot.
