Website Downloader
Back up, archive or migrate a site. Saves pages as the server sends them, with their images, styles, scripts, fonts and video. Sites built entirely with JavaScript (single-page apps) are not supported yet.
How it works
- Paste the address of a page you own or have permission to copy.
- Pick your options.
- Wait while the pages and their files are collected.
- Download the ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
- What does the website downloader save?
- Pages, stylesheets, scripts, images, fonts and video that a page's HTML and CSS point to. It reads each page the way a search engine does, so content that only appears after JavaScript runs (single-page apps built with React or Vue, for example) is not captured.
- Which sites work best?
- Sites that send their content from the server: WordPress sites, plain HTML sites, and most business and blog sites.
- Does it work on sites that need a login?
- No. It only saves pages that anyone can open without signing in.
- How big a site can it save?
- Up to 10 pages per run, 15 MB per file (40 MB for video) and 100 MB in total.
- How long are my files kept?
- The ZIP is deleted from our server 2 hours after it is created.
- Is it legal to download a website?
- Saving a site you own, or one you have permission to copy, for backup, archiving or migration is fine. Copying someone else's content and republishing it is not. You confirm this before each download.
